We the unwilling, led by the unqualified, have been doing the unbelievable for so long, with so little, we now attempt the impossible with nothing. - Mini-School Credo

Advice to the New Trippers

November 1, 1997 by Mini Archives

By Ann Kohman

The trips program is obviously very important to both the students and staff who participate. As Doug is always saying, Mini-School has been taking trips for 28 years and has yet to have a serious accident. It is our belief that both the spoon and the trippers are responsible. So in order to keep the record clean we (veteran trippers) have given some advice to those daring new Mini students who plan on tripping this year.

Mike Ennis- Bring more than you think you need, pack extra!

Gabe Peterson- Learn to respect the people on the trip.

Tanya Schierman- Learn to like oatmeal.

Hondo- Pay homage to the spoon.

Mike Phelps- If you make everyone believe you’re having fun you probably will.

Laura Huberty- Keep a positive attitude. Keep your complaining to yourself.

Doug Berg- Bring rain gear, especially if Ann is the weather girl.

Ann Kohman- Participate in all activities. Take as many trips as you can.

Lacey Landt- Change your socks when you go on Winter Camping. Do your part and the trip will go better.

Lester- Bring warm clothes and moleskin.

Randy- Mind over matter.

Mike McGinn- Don’t take any more than 4.

So in conclusion remember that Mini-School trips are a group effort. Help out others and do your part. I guarantee you will have a good time.
