Minnetonka Mini-School Archives

We the unwilling, led by the unqualified, have been doing the unbelievable for so long, with so little, we now attempt the impossible with nothing. - Mini-School Credo

Seniors Look Back

June 1, 1997 by Mini Archives

By Carrie Tiggas

As we say goodbye to our seniors we give them a chance to give their favorite Mini-School memory.

Nick Alatzas – My first day here Josh got into a fight.

Scott Bakkelund – Not available for interviewing.

Kriss Boatman – Coming to school and sleeping.

Josh Chowen – “I don’t want to answer these questions.”

Josh Day – Doug being able to hear all and see all and when he misses, Randy’s there.

Marcelle Dorenkamp – On the Grantsburg she was attacked by a mouse, Bill caught it and kept it in his coffee mug. It died.

Greg Fasching – When Doug poured water over my head.

Clint Fero – On the Black Hills trip I got lost with Kortnie for like 3 or 4 hours. Hmmm!

Rachael Guffan – The end of the Grantsburg hike, the last hill on the trip.

Lance Hamlin – After school gatherings.

Bobby Lopez – Uh…. I dunno.

Phil Lynott – Getting kicked out of Ramona’s class for having too many credits.

Austin Manship – When he set his gloves on the vent on Winter Activities and they caught on fire.

Mike McGinn – It wasn’t during school. It was last Halloween with a bunch of Mini-Schoolers.

Paul Montemayor – The day they tricked me into graduation.

Angie Peterson – The Mark Warren trip ’96-’97.

Emily Richards – Seeing the van through the trees up the massive hill in Arkansas.

Pete Riedel – I don’t have one.

Chris Robertson – Seeing the mountains on the Green River Trip.

Tanya Schierman -“It makes your mouth numb” Josh Day.

Justin Streeter – Riding in the van on the big trip.

Jenny Taylor – All the wonderful arguments!

Eric Thomas – My most memorable moment was on Day 9 on the ’97 BWCA Canoe trip when I got the most incredible acknowledgment I’ve ever gotten in my life, Doug Berg. The compliment meant a great deal more coming from the man I’ve respected most in my life.

Dan Voaklander – Going on the Michigan Ski Trip.

So there are the last thoughts of our seniors. Good Luck to you all. We will miss you.
