We the unwilling, led by the unqualified, have been doing the unbelievable for so long, with so little, we now attempt the impossible with nothing. - Mini-School Credo

Mini-School Reunion???

October 1, 1975 by Mini Archives

By Doug Berg

For about a year now, former Mini-School students (this is the 6th year of the program, you know) have been suggesting to me that we have a reunion. I have always encouraged the idea and have always told them that the major effort in organizing such an event must come from past and present students, but that the staff would be happy to help in an auxiliary way.

After talking to a few earlier this fall, however (Andy Fuss, Jack Brisley, Albin Elgren, Mike Rowe), I have been thinking more about it. It was suggested by these guys that we have the reunion, rent a building for it, have a band, refreshments, etc. It was also suggested by them that we charge admission enough to cover expenses of the above and also make a sizable profit for Mini-School.

At this point, no specifics have been worked out, and probably will not be for some time. I have been thinking that mid-January or early February might be the best time for it. The whole idea is quite frightening when you think of all the Anderbergs, Vomhofs, Sankos, Camerons, McCombers, Ottersons, Quasts, Rogneys, Flavins, Keelers, Seamans, and Forces that could be assembled under one roof (it would probably take a whole month for the Minnetonka area to recover), but it could be fun and could raise some money for the program. There’s a tremendous amount of work involved in organizing such an event-—the very thought of it is staggering. Keep it on your minds, however, and we’ll talk more about it after the Mississippi trip.
